Bob reports that the Crappie are back and hitting strong at the Barge. They have been very consistent over the last two days hitting both jigs and minnows. Bass and Catfish have been solid as well. The rain may slow the bite down a bit, but they usually turn back on after the rain subsides.

NEW COOK DENISE
LakeStore Marina's new head cook Denise Crumpler is from Orange Texas and has been in the food industry for over 16 years. She and her family lost there home to Hurricane Ike but as she said it turned out to be a blessing as it helped bring them to Winnsboro.
Denise loves to create new menu dishes and one of her favorite things to make are basic breakfast meals. "We use Pit Ham and slice it ourselves" she said "Our ham and egg omelets are awesome, you got to try them."

Crappie have been pretty steady between 8am-10am said Bob, after 10am they shut down. Bob also said that the Catfish have been steady of late. Best bait is minnows.
